Universal Design for Learning lets you build lessons that are accessible by default, not by retrofit. A 6-year-old who can't read yet, a 9-year-old learning Portuguese as a second language, and a 12-year-old with sensory processing differences can all engage meaningfully with the same soil experiment if you've designed it with multiple representations, multiple means of engagement, and multiple ways to demonstrate learning.
